Khushi just stared at Arnav with blank eyes, not revealing anything. She had been crazily in love with this man. After her parents if she gave anyone any place in her heart that was only him. He was the only man she had ever been intimate with. But three weeks ago when she had unwittingly found out that all he had wanted was just her body not any long term commitment, she had walked away from him no correction she had run as fast as she could away from him and without a word to him. In their fifteen months relationship he had never spoken words of love or anything about a relationship. He had just taken her granted. But she had hoped perhaps that in time he would come to love her as she loved him. But after what she had heard the conversation between him and his friend, she knew when the novelty wore of, he would have dusted himself of and walked away from her the very same way he discarded all the dozens of other women from his life before her. Just like every other female she had fallen victim of his gorgeously handsome, masculine, Greek God look.
Arnav " Why you left without saying anything ? "repeated gritting his teeth
Khushi " Sorry, didn't think you'd notice my absence in your life " in sarcastic manner
Arnav looked into Khushi's angry green hazel blazing eyes. Her fiery temper, her never be afraid to take him on about anything, her dare to challenge him and the courage of her convictions to stand up to him always attracted him to her. In fact there was nothing he did not like about her. She is damn hot, sexy intelligent, confident, crazy yet passionate about her work. In 24hours of her disappearance he knew she in Mumbai because no one can escape from Arnav Singh Raizada. Without her knowledge she was being watched by his men. He wanted to come to her very next moment after knowing her whereabouts but his big Everest size ego always stopping him. In these three weeks his life had been blank without her. In these miserable three weeks he had had tried to go back his old life; by going on dates with other women and sleep with models or escorts in the hope of trying to wipe out the memory of Khushi Gupta from his mind but he never be able with them more than five minutes. In these three total disaster weeks without her he came to know Khushi Gupta spoilt Arnav Singh Raizada for other women and now he nothing without her. For this reason cancelling his 80 billion dollar deal he came to attend this engagement party just to meet His Lady but seeing her enjoying the party avoiding him and enjoying other's man company he was damn angry.
Arnav softly " We need to talk " talking her by the elbow
Khushi " I ... I'm not going anywhere with you " trying to free herself from Arnav's firm hold
Arnav " In that case you leave me no choice other than to carry you out of here "
Khushi " Fine I will go with you " agreed hastily too afraid for her wanton body being enveloped in his arms " You're not going to force me for anything "
Holding Khushi by waist, Arnav escorted from the party making all ladies jealous present in party. Their car journey was in silent with Khushi busy herself in admiring the Mumbai night through the car window just to ignore the feeling of tingling sensation inside her for the alpha man sitting beside her.
The chauffeur stopped the car in front of sixty story glass building and opened the door for Arnav. Arnav came out of the car and went to Khushi's side. He opened the door for her and held his hand out. Taking his hand, she got out and gazed at the sky kissing building.
Getting into an elevator, Arnav typed in a password and the elevator moved up. The elevator went higher up and up until it reached 59th floor. The elevator doors opened leading the hallway of penthouse and both got out. Going through the hallway after turning right both entered into the living room.
Arnav " Welcome home, Khush "
Khushi swallowed hard remembering how she had loved the way he used to call her that when she had laid under his body wrapped in his strong protective arms.
Arnav Cupping Khushi's left cheek " You have no idea how I've missed you in these three weeks "
Khushi slapped Arnav's hand away " You never had a problem attracting women Arnav. I can't believe you be the saint since I left your bed " with mocking smile
Arnav " You're the only woman for me Khush. There can be no other ... "
Khushi " Don't Arnav " shut her eyes " Please ... don't " bravely trying to keep tears at bay " Whether we were at dinner, the theater, the party, I always saw how women would often walk up to you and flirt with you right in front of me. Blankly staring into space, Khushi vividly recalled the conversation between Arnav and his friend Liam that fateful day when she went to his for surprise lunch with the sneak preview of the sexy red satin lingerie she had bought to wear for him that night.
Liam " So ASR, you're still on your word that you're going to remain a bachelor boy till your dying day ? "
Arnav " What is need of marriage when every lady is ready to be my back and call "
She had felt thousand knives pierce through her heart when she had heard him uttering those words. Her mind went blank; her hand had frozen on the handle as she had stood there unable to move thinking Arnav using her and going to discard her like he had done in past. Not waiting anymore time she ran, ran as fast as she could away from the building, and out of Arnav Singh Raizadas's life. She'd switched off her mobile, had returned to Mumbai resigning her job in London.
Arnav " If you had just stayed a little longer that day, you would have heard me tell Liam that I used to think all of these before you but now I'm sure I want to spend my whole life with you ... just only with you " with soft tender eyes
Khushi's eyes flew open, staring at Arnav not believing what he'd just said. Was her mind playing tricks on her? she could see honesty in his eyes. If only she had been there for few moments on that day, then both of them would not have spent three weeks in total misery.
Arnav " I love you Khush "
Khushi smiling through tears " I love you too " taking Arnav's lips for hungry kiss
