Devyani Singh Raizada herself was in shock with Garima angle. She could not reconcile with everything revealed, but decided to regain her composure somehow as situation demanded her to be in control of her emotions. Beside she was reluctant to conclude anything based on a photograph. She decided to firstly calm down Arnav before asking Garima, her side of story. She always knew Arnav's anger will one day affect his future. Her foresight warned her of the impact of this on Arnav & Khushi's relationships. She decided to take the charge before her beloved grandson will do anything out of anger and have to regret for this though out his entire life.
Nani "Chote whatever that had happened was 16 years back we cannot change the past so why should it affect present times so drastically? "
Anjali " Nani is right, Chote! Stop all this drama and marry Khushiji. Whatever happened in past, it's not Khushiji's fault. Move on Chote "
Anjali decided not to believe anything about Garima to be true without proofs. The woman for whom she had high respect for giving Khushi the best upbringing even not being her biological mother then how can this same woman could be the reason of their mother's suicide and their hunted past, their never ending pain. Was this facade all these days? Even if Garima angle is true, Khushi not being Garima's blood daughter she has no problem Khushi's marriage with Arnav. Beside she knew Arnav always take hasty decision in anger. She has always guided him wherever she could, correct him whenever possible. Like now she tried to calm Arnav down, her plea was that whatever happened in past was not Khushi's fault so not do anything wrong to Khushi for their troubled past.
Arnav looked in disbelief at his Di's cold reaction to the other woman in their mother's life. How easily she forgot her own mother.

Khsuhi's eyes did not look away from him. She wanted to ask so many questions. What has happened to them? Everything was going on smoothly, they were so happy; the teasing, the laughter, the romance, the love, the chemistry and the colour. Everything was so fresh, so pure. She was just having her dream wedding that too with her Arnavji Then why.. Why did this happen? She had to choose between her adoptive family and her love.
One side her adoptive family to whom she always be grateful for adopting her so she did not have to grow up in an orphanage or on the streets though they had adopted her not because of love but to have access her biological parent's money through her. Even though her parents died in a car accident when she was eight, her parents had left enough money to take very good care of her. Tough Gupats spent her parents hard earned money not on her but to their own advantage to fulfil their whims and whams, they had left no chance to make her feel like a burden on them, an extra mouth to feed and a beggar. Even though they called her bad omen for all the shitty things happening their life but left no chance to use & exploit her. She did all chores for them, did well in school and university with extra-curriculum activities like dance, music, chess, basketball and many others to make them proud though was still not good enough for them. She had to do odd jobs to earn money for her education. Even for Payal, she just portrayed herself uneducated when she had completed her graduation in Fashion Designing with full scholarship in Fashion Institute of Technology, New York while topping in her class and setting a record at the university. Even she agreed to engage that snake unwillingly for them. After doing all these, she was just a bad omen and an outside blood to them. For this very reason Guptas cut off all the relation with her on the very day when she married to Arnav just for Payal.
Other side Arnav...The man whom she love, who love her!! The man who only truly love and care for her after her parent's death; the man who stood by her against his family; the man who forgetting his own comfort was ready to share that tiny bed of Gupta House with her; the man who badly beaten the goons for misbehaving with her and bore punches from the goons when she was gunpoint; the man who requested Nani to prepare some aloo puri for her on her birthday and then kissing her and praying all happiness for her on her birthday; the man who opposed his Dadi to save her honour; the man who agreed to do all those rituals of marriage for her and her belief which were nonsense for him; the man who took her to their Mamma's garden which was exclusively for him only. His yesterday's words again and again rang in her ears.

For choosing her dream to have a happy family with Arnav, may be it put a question mark on her role as Daughter. But for the first time she wanted to be selfish by choosing her true happiness... Her Arnav over adoptive family.

Weeping Garima sat by Shashi's wheelchair with Payal and Buaji crushing Arnav for the humiliation and insult. But they were shocked to hear Khushi choosing Arnav over Garima as to their knowledge family always first priority to Khushi. So it was a huge blow to them.
Except Gupats it was a huge blow to Shyam Manohar Jha. Till now he was grinning widely as the drama unfolding with more masala than he had thought. Everything was going like he had imagined. But in his worst dream he had never thought Khushi would choose Arnav over her adoptive family. But being snake, he decided to manipulate his foolish wife to stop this marriage.
Shyam " Please not get me wrong Rani Sahiba, I think Saale Sahaba never be happy with Khushiji knowing her mother being the reason both of your mother's suici... "
Anajali " Khushiji not Garimaji's blood daughter. Beside my mother chose her husband's betrayal over us but I'm not fool to choose our haunted past over my Chote's happiness " sternly " My Chote's happiness matter to me most "
Shyam was busy in cursing Anjali inwardly for not stopping Arnav's marriage with Khushi. But like a boon to him, Dadi started arguing with Arnav to stop his marriage with Khushi.
Dadi " Chote you can't marry this girl as an elder I order you "
Arnav " Tell me a reason Dadi why can't marry Khushi? "
Dadi " Garima is the reason of your parent's death. Isn't it enough? "
Arnav " Khushi is not Garma's daughter. Beside along with Garima, your son Arvind Malik also reason of my Maa's death " crudely " Even being father of two, he had no shame to have numerous extra marital affairs behind his wife. Nani and Anjali did not stop rebuke Arnav for asking Dadi to leave from here as both of them were also fed up of Subhadra Devi's dramas. Both of them wanted just their beloved Chote's happiness. Seeing none rebuking Arnav for misbehaving with her, Dadi left from there.
Shyam seeing his trump card mean Dadi leaving from there tried to stop her trough Anjali but it went deaf ear.
Shyam " Rani Sahiba.. stop Dadiji.. She leaving "
Anjali "It'll be better for us " sternly
Shyam " Par Rani Sahiba... " stopped by earning a glare from Anjali
